Course Overview

Would you like to make someone’s day by bringing out their best features and helping them look their best?

In this course, you will learn to provide facial treatment, manicure, pedicure, and basic make-up services. You can use this chance to increase your knowledge on beauty products too!

Acquire knowledge and skills which are highly relevant to the industry

  • Handle salon operations.
  • Conduct client consultation.
  • Sterilise tools and equipment for treatment.
  • Provide massage treatment for head, neck, shoulder, hand and foot.
  • Provide manual and electrical facial treatments.
  • Shape eyebrows.
  • Provide waxing for facial and body hair removal.
  • Provide manicure and pedicure treatment.
  • Provide make-up services.
  • Handle spa treatments.

Entry Requirements
To apply for the Nitec in Beauty & Wellness course, you need to have the following pre-requisites:

GCE ‘N’  Technical students with 0 or 1 ‘N’ Level Pass

Progression Opportunities

Nitec in Beauty & Wellness graduates with a GPA of 2.8 and above may also apply for progression to related Higher Nitec courses offered by ITE.

Career Prospects

Nitec in Beauty & Wellness graduates are employed by beauty and spa establishments. Some of the job titles held by graduates may include Beautician, Beauty Therapist, Beauty Consultant, Make-up Artist, Manicurist and Pedicurist.

There are excellent opportunities for career advancement to supervisory positions and beyond. The challenge is for students to upgrade their technical skills and knowledge by taking up higher-level courses.
